I don’t know what is happening to ‘increase’ the activity in the house again but tonight has certainly unnerved me!

For the last few months we have felt far more relaxed than ever living here after all the ‘cleansing’ ‘blessings’ etc. which resulted in calming down the unwelcome spiritual occurrences to a minimum.

However, during the last month we have openly discussed & planned moving, (preferably before Christmas) with each other & with our family & friends. During this time much more paranormal activity has developed again & several different Mediums previous predictions that we will move ‘suddenly & unexpectedly’ is now a very certain possibility, despite always being adamant that we ‘will go when we are ready’

Although the activity here will never go completely, until recently it has been 90% better during the last few months. This is due to taking Rev. Beverly Williams advice as she told us not to talk about the situation openly, or allow anymore paranormal investigators/Mediums in here as it would ‘feed’ the energy & keep it at its peak. By ‘ignoring’ the situation as much as we could, this did help & as far as we believe, has worked also. We even ceased Louise filming at night to capture the floating Orbs & flashing lights etc. The only ‘alarming’ incidents during this time were from the Annexe at night. The first time this happened Martin & I were in bed one night watching TV at around 11.30pm. The boys were all tucked up & fast asleep. Over the TV volume we heard some awfully loud banging & crashing noises coming from downstairs. We both flew out of bed & raced downstairs prepared to meet intruders, convinced that someone had broken into our home! As we reached the bottom of the stairs, Martin turned to face the dinning room & myself the lounge, but we then realised the banging was coming from underneath us - in the Annexe! We tiptoed into the kitchen to the Annexe doorway & froze as we heard noises resembling someone throwing items around, scuffling & more banging. At that point we were sure someone had broken in down there but we were puzzled as to why they would be confident in making so much noise! I ran to grab the phone to dial the police & ordered Martin to stay put & not to go down the stairs to investigate further. The whole situation was bizarre & at that moment I wanted ‘Ghosts & spooks’ to be the culprits as this would have been a relief! We urgently whispered the usual concerns to each other ‘Did you check the Annexe door was locked today? Are all the windows down there closed? Is the alarm on?’ etc. etc. Just then our Cat ‘Boots’ who was sleeping upstairs, came wondering into the kitchen hoping for a midnight snack due to us now being up & about. He casually wandered over to me, arched his back & raised his tail as he brushed against my leg in a loving gesture, suddenly his attention turned to the Annexe door & in a very alarming manner his hackles raised, his stance became ‘on guard’ & he hissed fiercely! He was very hostile towards whatever he could see or feel. Boots is a very friendly cat & due to the amount of friends & visitors that come into our home he is not unfamiliar with ‘people’ & certainly would not react in this way if it was a ‘person’. Martin & I then knew this was something paranormal that had disturbed Boots & caused his hostility & fear. Now more than ever we were not prepared to open that door & risk seeing what ever it was or witness items flying around in mid air! Just to be sure I quickly dragged one of the kitchen table chairs to the Annexe door & wedged it underneath the handle & also jammed the leg into the lounge doorway frame saying “well if anyone has broken in down there they are not coming up here!” Not that this would prevent ‘spirits’ from gaining access of course! Either way we returned to bed & needless to say had no sleep until daylight. This has happened again five times since but each incident has been several weeks apart. In comparison with the many other occurrences we have witnessed here regularly, these incidents in the Annexe were minimal & only mentioned to very close friends in order to be ‘forgotten’ as much as possible.

Unfortunately this has not been the case most recently though! Too much has happened to mention right now but last Tuesday 11^th August Louise came after work to stay overnight as she does every week.

After the boys had gone to bed we both sat talking in the dinning room and I told her about a rather unpleasant experience I had had in the Annexe just 2 days earlier. Martin at this time had just gone up to bed & it was 1.15am. Whilst we were talking I told Louise I was worried about the extent of the paranormal activity we were experiencing again, explaining how it was becoming a daily occurrence once more & how we dread it getting as bad as it always used to be. During this conversation we heard the floor boards creaking upstairs as Martin got out of bed & walked across the bedroom. We paused & waited for him to come downstairs. This happened 4 times & he never did appear? We commented on what he could be doing as he didn’t cross the landing to go into either of the boys rooms or come down to us? I told Louise I didn’t think it was Martin but suspected it was ‘spirit’ saying to her “See Lou, I told you it was all starting again!”

Louise & I didn’t go to bed until after 2am by which time Martin was asleep, she stayed in the spare bed as usual & left early for her journey to work before we awoke the following morning.

At breakfast Martin asked me if we heard him ‘getting up’ the night before. Relieved I said yes & asked what on earth he was doing as I thought it was the ‘spooks’ again. He then confirmed it was the spooks as whilst he was dozing off the bedroom door kept opening, despite needing subtle force to do so, & the most annoyance from this was the fact that the light from the landing was streaming in to the room which irritates us both. Although he knew ‘something’ was opening the door he kept getting out of bed to close it because the light was disturbing his sleep, as due to experiencing spirits opening our bedroom door so many times previously, we have got used to this happening now - as bizarre as that may seem! Even so we both agreed that we were not happy about this occurring often again.

Tonight I was talking to a friend ‘Steve’ on the phone whilst clearing through some stuff in the Annexe. Everyone was in bed other than Martin & Jacob who were both on the PC in the dinning room. I left the Annexe door from the kitchen wide open, & had my CD player on low whilst I spoke to Steve. At some point during the conversation we began talking about the recent activity occurring in the house & although I didn’t go into any great detail I suddenly sensed that I wasn’t alone! Without any warning a awful deep distorted voice came over the track I was listening too on the CD for about 10 seconds & then the CD player flew open & ejected the disc! I was so startled that I screamed in fright. Panicking I asked Steve if he had heard the distorted voice, he replied saying “Are you moving around? You sound like your echoing & I cant make out what your saying” I had not moved an inch, other than jumping up in fright on the spot where I was standing. As I calmed down I felt slightly foolish & although still concerned we both joked about the incident. I quickly switched everything off & returned upstairs to the house to find Martin & Jacob had gone up to bed. I wasn’t going to hang around alone tonight after this so I washed & went to bed immediately. Martin was awake watching TV, we talked for a while before going to sleep. Just before either of us had chance to settle we were startled by a loud scratching noise at our bedroom door. Martin sat up & I ran to open the door expecting to see Boots or one of the boys. There was nothing there & the other bedroom doors were all closed. Martin raised his eyebrows as if to say “Here we go again!” I got back into bed & 5 minutes later we both jumped as it happened again! This time I have stayed up, made a cup of earl grey & have decided to write this blog & log these incidents more frequently now on here. I have always kept a detailed journal of almost everything we have experienced since we moved here but now we have this site we will try to make more of an effort to update on here from now on, & also try to avoid having conversations about this with visitors & even over the phone!

So many people have contacted us since Martin did this site & say things like “Oh how exciting! We would love to experience such evidence of the afterlife/spirit world” Well maybe an overnight stay or a one off time would be a great eye opener & novelty for most seekers, but we always reply with the same response & assure everyone that this is not fun or exciting to live with this 24/7 for as long as we have!

I honestly believe that when we do eventually rent the house out to people for this reason, that many will not stay a full night & some will leave as soon as they are ‘touched’ when there is no one next to them, or when the doors open without cause, or when they hear ‘noises’ etc. etc.

We would also like to thank all the paranormal groups/investigators who have requested to visit, we have not responded to most requests yet due to the above mentioned but as soon as we move we will contact you all & you will be welcome to come & do as you wish here, but for now we desire to keep as much as possible at bay. If things remain as they are now or get any worse you wont be waiting much longer anyway, as we cant wait to get out of here & finally move on.
